New AIDS drug shows 'phenomenal' results

"They tested it on some people who were in deep, deep salvage therapy, and even those people did remarkably well," Dr. Steven Deeks, a University of California, San Francisco salvage therapy authority, told the Times. "It seems to be a truly phenomenal drug that ... is changing the whole way we think about the management of these patients."

Happy New Year

May 2007 bring the end of the AID's pandemic. May it be the year of caring and tolerance. May it be the year that concern for passing on the gifts of nature to future generations overrides hedonistic impulses. May you prosper and be forever happy.

51 miles today and twice the climbing. That make a total of 106 for Thursday and Friday. Felt fine. Next I'd like to try back to back 75's then 100's.

A nice 55 mile ride today. Wimped out on the early morning training ride. It was too cold. By SoCal standards. The wind was blowing hard in the Valley. It felt like a headwind most of the way to Griffith Park. Met up with some of the people from the Bike forum. I'm trying to get used to back to back long rides.

Todays ride

Not really a training ride. Just a short run up and down this street the parallels Mulholland drive. It a quiet residential that has a 400 foot altitude gain in 2 miles. Four runs made for a decent workout.
